The
Human Resources Generalist will be accountable for partnering with site business leadership to develop strategies and associated action plans to achieve business objectives. Responsible for providing guidance to support and implement Human Resources policies, programs, and practices.
Essential Functions:- Supports, communicates, reinforces, and upholds the mission, values, and culture of the organization
- Partners with management staff to support site, departmental, and corporate goals
- Participates in the analysis of appropriate staffing levels based on business demands
- Implements employee training and development programs in collaboration with the Training department
- Supports management in the handling of employee relations matters, this includes, investigating sensitive and complex situations and facilitates the resolution of matters on conflict at the earliest opportunity. Escalates concerns in relation to HR and other matters to the appropriate management staff as necessary
- Compiles and prepares data in relation to and preparation of EEO and Affirmative Action reporting/plan requirements
- Maintains and reports data related to headcount, turnover rates, recruitment metrics and trends, etc., on a monthly and as needed basis
- Leads specific HR-related projects as assigned, researching, progressing, and coordinating projects and making recommendations for future action
- Participates in annual benefit renewals and open enrollment processes in coordination with corporate directives
- Adheres to all quality and safety standards
- Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills:- Demonstrated ability to identify trends and collaborate with assigned business partners to resolve matters expediently and thoroughly
- Ability to use HRIS related computer programs and software; experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred
- Ability to work remotely
- Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office, G Suite)
- Ability to work flexible hours. We operate 24/7/365
Education and Experience:- Associate degree in Human Resources or Business Administration required (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Relevant professional-level work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of (5) years of Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) or HR Generalist experience preferred
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification desired
- Experience with employee relations in skilled trade-based environment(s)
- Organizational experience in government contracting environments, preferred
- Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements and Service Contract Act (SCA) highly desirable
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) desired
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, holidays, and weekends
- Must possess a valid state driver's license
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)
- Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and a background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment
